Preventing the birth of one child in Africa can offset the carbon footprint of a flight from London to Sydney, according to the U.K.'s Optimum Population Trust (OPT).

Jon Stewart of Comedy Central’s Daily Show has routinely tackled manmade climate change, usually mocking skeptics. Yesterday Stewart could not deny the irony of the massive snowstorms which have struck the Mid-Atlantic over the past week - watch the video below.

After trying to come up with his own catch phrase for the storms and realizing ‘Snowmageddon’ and ‘Snowpocalypse’ were already being used, Stewart finally settles on calling it the “Unusually Large Snowstorm.”

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (GL) – Al Gore said Wednesday that the terms “global warming”, “climate change”, and “climate crisis” shall be immediately replaced with an unpronounceable symbol.  As he unveiled the new symbol to the media at a press conference in his hometown, the former vice president cited the continued emerging complexity of climate science as the reason for the change in nomenclature.
